An active shooter has been reported at the Texas State Fair, one of the largest state fairs in the United States.

The shooting reportedly happened just before 8 p.m. local time on Saturday.

Police sources told WFAA two people were shot, but no one was killed.

DFW Scanner on X stated that multiple injuries were reported and ambulances were requested on scene.

“The State Fair of Texas is being evacuated after a reported shooting, according to the Dallas Police Department. Details are limited as the situation is active; however, police say one suspect is in custody,” CBS News reported.

The State Fair was evacuated as police responded.

Dallas police issued an SFT Safety Alert: “This is a State Fair Emergency Order. @dallaspd is investigating a shooting at the State Fair. The park is being evacuated.”

The DPD is also asking everyone to avoid the area.

In September 2022, a gunman shot three people, including two first responders, at the Tri-State Fair & Rodeo in Texas before he was shot and wounded by sheriff’s deputies.
