“Bye bye, Ronna.”
That’s a phrase failed former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel has had to endure twice in the last few weeks, due to the precipitous termination of her contract with the far-left network on Tuesday.
Despite having agreed to hire White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki when she was still technically in the Biden administration (a basic breach of journalistic ethics), even hearing from the beltway establishment RINO Republican Ronna McDaniel one time proved too much to bear for the absolute children who run the DNC mouthpiece masquerading as a “news network.”
Ronna McDaniel in her first appearance got into a heated fake argument with Kristin Welker.
“So then, but to the question though, do you disagree with Trump saying he’s going to free those who’ve been charged to be convicted?” Welker asked.
“I do not think people who committed violent acts on January 6th should be freed,” Ronna McDaniel responded.
“So you disagree with that? He’s been saying that for months. Ronna, why not speak out earlier? Why just speak out about that now?” Welker asked.
“When you’re the RNC chair, you kind of take one for the whole team. Right?” McDaniel said. Now I get to be a little bit more myself, right? This is what I believe.”
McDaniel implies that she wasn’t being herself as RNC Chair (or as one commentator put it, she was being “fake“) and made a false distinction between herself and Donald Trump, who never said he would free violent January 6 defendants, as Welker misleadingly implies.
Thus, she was perfect for MSNBC. The Wall Street Journal, however, reported there immediately was mutiny on board her new network:
NBC News’s Chuck Todd sharply criticized the news organization over its hiring of former Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, the latest sign of the backlash within the company over the high-profile hire.
His remarks came after MSNBC’s president, amid internal unrest, signaled to staffers that McDaniel wouldn’t appear on any of the cable channel’s original programming, The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday.
“I think our bosses owe you an apology for putting you in this situation,” Todd told Kristen Welker on Sunday following her interview of McDaniel on Meet the Press.

“There’s a reason why there’s a lot of journalists at NBC News uncomfortable with this, because many of our professional dealings with the RNC over the last six years have been met with gaslighting.”
Mediaite on Tuesday reported that Ronna McDaniel was already “out,” citing a letter from the Chairman:
NBCU News Group Chairman Caesar Conde informed the network on Tuesday night that McDaniel would no longer be a contributor.
There is no doubt that the last several days have been difficult for the News Group. After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor.
No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned. Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal.
I want to personally apologize to our team members who felt we let them down. While this was a collective recommendation by some members of our leadership team, I approved it and take full responsibility for it.
Our initial decision was made because of our deep commitment to presenting our audiences with a widely diverse set of viewpoints and experiences, particularly during these consequential times. We continue to be committed to the principle that we must have diverse viewpoints on our programs, and to that end, we will redouble our efforts to seek voices that represent different parts of the political spectrum.
