A ‘smoking gun’ email shows that Hunter Biden was copied on an email discussing a phone call that would lead to the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating Burisma, who had hired Hunter for a lucrative board seat that many believe is proof of corrupt influence-peddling.

Judicial Watch announced today that it had received five pages of records from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) revealing that on May 26, 2016, then-Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter received an email detailing a “8:45 am prep for a 9 am phone call with Pres Poroshenko,” Ukraine’s president.

Joe Biden’s email address is robert.l.peters@pci.gov, and Hunter Biden’s email address is hbiden@rosemontseneca.com. (At the time, Hunter Biden was on the board of the contentious Ukrainian corporation Burisma.)

John S. Flynn, Joe Biden’s aide, sent the email with the subject line “Friday Schedule Cards”:

Boss–8:45am prep for 9am phone call with Pres Poroshenko. Then we’re off to Rhode Island for infrastructure event and then Wilmington for UDel commencement. Nate will have your draft remarks delivered later tonight or with your press clips in the morning.

Respectfully,

John

The email also includes information about US military soldiers under the subject “Daily US Troops Update”:

6,745 US troops were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

52,392 US troops were injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Troop Levels in the United States:

10,000 (Security Assistance, Advisory, and CT) in Afghanistan

4,000 (Security Assistance) in Iraq

The email was received as a result of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch against the National Archives seeking Biden family documents and communications about travel and financial transactions, as well as contacts between the Bidens and many known business acquaintances.

In August 2023, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) requested that the National Archives disclose data pertaining to then-Vice President Joe Biden’s responsibilities that coincided with his son’s actions in Ukraine. Chairman Comer is looking at correspondence in which Joe Biden used a fictitious name, as well as those in which Hunter Biden, Eric Schwerin, or Devon Archer were copied.

“Here’s another smoking gun.” “It blows the notion that there was any distance between Joe and Hunter Biden on the Burisma influence-peddling scandal out of the water,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.

Judicial Watch has filed almost a dozen Freedom of Information Act lawsuits seeking data related to Biden’s misconduct, including:

In March 2023, the Archives had only provided 1,276 pages of over 8,000 records related to the unusual document dispute and raid on former President Trump’s house.

Judicial Watch sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in October 2022 for all communications between the Secret Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding the search warrant that led to the August 8, 2022 raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida residence at Mar-a-Lago.

Judicial Watch also sued the Barak Obama Presidential Library in October for materials relating to the 2016 “Russia Collusion Hoax.” The data, which were not legally available under FOIA until five years after President Obama’s departure, are kept at the Library, which is part of the National Archives system.
